Supposedly an historical narrative of the Islamic era after the demise of our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW. To the uninitiated, there is a lot of names and places. To make matters worse, many a times two different individuals may have the same name (the only hint would be the father's name). Thus, it's a "complex and mind-boggling" effort.
