Learning Arabic Language of the Quran - Izzath Uroosa

Learning Arabic Language of the Quran By Izzath Uroosa

A good book indeed. Nicely bound hard-cover. Written in systematic and concise manner. Suitable for beginners as well as for the advanced. The only setback is the reader needs to have a good command (or basic at the least) of English grammar. The reason being that the entire book is written using the English grammar as the basis. Thus, to appreciate the actual value of the book, the reader has to embark on two challenges. The journey in mastering the English grammar and eventually to explore the intricacies of the Arabic language.

The Ickabog - JK Rowling

Rings a bell? Yes..the author is none other than the famous writer of the Harry Potter series.

The Ickabog is actually a children's story written much earlier (but kept in the attic for a long, long time) by JK Rowling as a bedtime story for her children. Interestingly, she had been releasing chapters weekly on the web for free! All you got to do is log on and read ..and wait anxiously for the next chapter the next day.

Well..it has got to its end.

Love the way it has been written. Beautifully and amusingly laced with sarcasm. Politicians should be read it. Who knows..you'll be the next that the Ickabog comes after.

Reader's Digest July 2020

The Sound of Music. For those who have seen or at least heard of this movie..you would be able to relate to its mesmerizing effect as your thoughts are transported to another world, another time.

I still remember when the whole family gathered to watch the much talked-about movie. It was engrossing and weird at the same time. Weird because it was a musical movie (..those days we didn't have much of that kind).
